Description:

Ermenegildo is a Passito of Moscato D'asti. Passito, means raisin wine in Italian, is a wine made from grapes that have been dried to concentrate their juice. The result is similar to that of the ice wine process, but suitable for warmer climates. The classic method dries clusters of grapes on mats of straw in the sun, now they're produced in special drying chambers under controlled conditions for months after the grapes are harvested in late October. The vinification start from the those raisins, which concentrates the remaining sugars and flavors to make the resulting wine more sweet and extract.

From golden yellow to brownish yellow, delicate and typical, bearing dry fruits including apricots and figs, sweet and harmonic, full and velvet like. It’s best for pastry and tasty cheeses, serves at about 14°C
