Sacramundi grows between the hills of the winding valley of the Chiampo river. The landscape, beautiful beyond time, draws its origins from the powerful creator of the volcanoes. Here the force of basalt columns rising from the primeval sea, mixed chalky sediments with layers of tuff so creating a unique geologic mosaic. This is the treasure chest in which, at least since the dark ages, Durella has grown. An indigenous vine with many distinguishing characteristics which now as then gives rise to the Durello wine.
